At Vertrae®, patients are never just procedures or charts—they’re people with stories, fears, and hopes. Bethany, one of our deeply compassionate and highly skilled nurses, makes sure every patient feels that difference the moment they meet her.
Known for her calm presence and thoughtful care, Bethany has a gift for turning clinical moments into human ones. Whether she’s prepping someone for spine surgery, reassuring them as anesthesia takes effect, or calling the next day to check on their recovery, she brings a steady confidence and a personal warmth that patients remember long after their visit.
“I’ve wanted to be a nurse since middle school,” Bethany says. “Even now, I think about that comforting image—being beside someone when they need it most.”
For Bethany, nursing is more than a job. It’s a calling to be there in life’s most vulnerable moments, making sure no one feels alone. Her greatest satisfaction comes from seeing patients move from uncertainty to relief, knowing she played a part in that transformation.
Outside of Vertrae®, Bethany finds joy in the outdoors, hiking, running with her husband Caleb, and taking in mountaintop views with their dog, Maple. That same energy and love for life is what she brings into every patient interaction: a reminder that even after surgery, there’s a whole world waiting to be enjoyed again.
