From the very first hello, Ashley’s bright and cheerful energy makes patients feel welcome and at ease. Outgoing, dependable, and deeply empathetic, she’s always felt called to care for others. That calling came into focus in high school, when she discovered her fascination with medicine and radiology, ultimately leading her to become an X-ray technologist.

At Vertrae®, Ashley plays a vital role in both patient care and clinical flow. She supports providers by capturing diagnostic images, whether it’s a first set of X-rays to uncover a diagnosis or follow-up imaging to check on post-op recovery. For her, it’s about more than just the scan: it’s about ensuring patients feel understood, validated, and informed at every step.

Ashley’s favorite part of her work is witnessing transformation. She loves seeing patients arrive at their first consult weighed down by pain and uncertainty, and then watching them return later, stronger, smiling, and reclaiming their lives. “I hope Vertrae® can be for our patients what it is to me: a community of family and belonging.”

Outside of the clinic, Ashley finds joy in the outdoors and the simple beauty of life on her small farm. She loves gardening, hiking, paddleboarding, riding horses, bird watching, and just about any activity that keeps her outside. When indoors, you’ll often find her lost in a gripping murder mystery or strumming her guitar. One of her favorite reminders comes from a quote she overheard while hiking in North Carolina: “You’re a little too focused on the destination right now instead of the journey, and it’s killing my vibe.” For Ashley, it’s a lighthearted but powerful lesson, one she carries with her in both work and life.
